Update :

February 4, 2014 : This review is no longer updated.

Why we are no longer endorsing this site?

NerdBux don’t seem to follow and respect their own Terms of Service.
It all started with them sending emails regularly, promoting other sites and requesting people to join under them on some program. They call it “network marketing”.
But, they don’t send news and updates about NerdBux.com saying “the changes are not set in stone”. They find it more important to send their users an email about some other site’s server crash, celebrating their sister site’s birthday or some other promotion they are having but nothing about an important change made to Nerdbux. Neither do they post about it on their Twitter. Their forum doesn’t have RSS feeds or forum subscriptions so members who subscribe to their emails are simply spammed.
So when I got fed up of their spam, I brought it to their notice on their forum and asked them politely to only send me News & Updates about Nerdbux as I am not interested in their other programs. Consequently, I unsubscribed from their mailing list.
A few days later, once again I received an email from Nerdbux about some birthday celebration for their sister site. So I went back to my topic and requested them again to stop sending me such mails. Again, I asked them politely and didn’t use a single foul word.
Guess what happened next…. a few minutes later the topic was deleted and my account suspended.
Its their site so they decide how to run it. If they are going to suspend members for raising concerns then so be it. I am not interested in such a pathetic site. One less site for me to click on and hopefully no more spam mails from them.

And if you are thinking that its only me, then here are a couple of more examples of people who share my feelings.

I opened a ticket asking them if I violated any of their TOS which led to my account suspension. Expectedly, the ticket was closed without any reply because they just didn’t have an answer.
So here is my recommendation – If you want to use NerdBux, only worry about your money because they are not concerned about user feedback. Say a word and you might end up like me.
Stay safe and don’t be scammed!

  5. Time period between renting referrals for all membership levels is now 7 days.

Below are the Pros and Cons of the site.

thumbsup

  • Forum – Their forum can found here – www.nerdbux.com/forum.php

Forums are excellent for interaction between members and the staff. Members can post suggestions, payments proof and report bugs. Also small complaints can be solved which reduces the workload of the staff of replying to Support tickets.

  • Fixed cashout limit – The cashout mark is fixed at $4 for Standard members and does not increase after each cashout. Most “bux” sites have stepped cashouts making it harder for older members to cashout. Nice to see this is not the case on Nerdbux.
  • NerdGrid – Like many other sites, they too have a Grid game. You get 25 chances everyday and it depends on your luck whether you win or not. Just click anywhere on the picture and win up to $2 that goes directly into your account balance! Each click will open up a sponsor’s site that you will have to view for up to 5 seconds. After this time has passed you will know if you are a winner or not.
Clicks are reset daily at midnight server time.

thumbsdown

  • Daily Forced Activity – You need to click your ads daily if you wish to earn from your referrals.
“You must view at least 4 advertisements each day to continue to earn from your referrals the next day.”
  • Spam – They tend to keep sending unnecessary updates to your inbox instead of important news. For example, you will get an email for a “site they recommend” you to join with their referral link.
  • Limited Cashouts – With the new changes they made, its become a mad rush to cashout at 00:00 server time. Everyone is clicking the cashout button like crazy at 00:00 hrs server time, leaving those that are unsuccessful frustrated.
Clear signs of cashflow issues. Instead they could introduce manual payments and process them in a set time frame.

Moreover, they seem to be giving some people preferential treatment – http://www.nerdbux.com/forum.php?topic=65974

Conclusion : Nerdbux has made a list of changes making it more difficult for members to cashout. New sites start out strong with high earnings but will make adjustments. This is why its not recommended to invest/upgrade on new sites because you never know what changes they will come up with. I advise caution with any investments/upgrades you make on NerdBux until they can find out a long term viable plan.

Also be ready to be receive their newsletters and spam so I would recommend using a email ID which you use only for spam mails only because the mails will not stop even if you unsubscribe from their mailing list.
